It would crank for a while and give up after 5-7seconds or so, then I would crank it again it it would barely fire up.... I usually get down to about 1/4 - 1/8 tank of gas then fill it up all the way.I have a 2008 GMC Acadia. It won't start, it will act as if it is about to start but then when u expect it to start running it won't budge. I have tried jumping the car I checked the oil and antifreeze. I don't know what else to do. ... Over time- the fuel to the valve either corrodes the valve- and or carbon particles carried by the liquid fuel-- cause the valve to stop working properly. 2023 Traverse LT 3.6L 15,000. 2013 Equinox 3.6L 121,000. 2003 Trailblazer 4.2L 188,000. the fiilling up/hard start issue is related to overfilling. Over time it causes issues with the valve. I believe there are 2 valves--- one is on top of the gas tank- the 2nd is close to the engine. Usually changing the one by the engine will correct the issue. Someone has pics of their valve replacement on here.

Most likely it is the fuel pressure regulator..also check for spark here's some info for you.. The first thing to do is check for spark. Disconnect #1 ignition wire at the spark plug. Install a spark tester into the end of the spark plug boot. Have an assistant crank the engine over and check for spark at the tester.
