All information on restoring, modding, and models could be found in one place!If it says Magnificent Magnavox then you have a tube unit. If it says Astro-Sonic then you are looking at solid state. Now there are some suttle turntable changes though the years, and that is what I normally use to date. The Concert Grand line which had it's last gasp in this time frame was Magnavox's high end lineup. Those were very powerful for consoles and had open reel recorders and/or 8 track. And those had 40 watts/channel amplifiers and high end speakers for a console. And were $1200-$1400 without color TV.
