In the bay area years ago when new studios were popping up, current members were advised that they had to be a non-member for at least 30 days before signing up at a new studio to get the founders rate. Not sure if that changed or if that applies in your area. Only way to know is to ask both studios!
Everywhere is different for pricing. Also the studio may be offering different “tiers” of founder memberships based on how early people sign up. When a new location opened near me, the first X people to sign up got $30 off, then the “regular” founders rate was $20 off.
