This is how I was able to survive the climb back up with the PRAWN, by Docking in a Moonpool so I could repair it. I really hope that wasn’t changed, cause your vehicle is out of the water while in a Moonpool.

No, I you don't need a blueprint (other than the mk1 seamoth depth.) Are you trying to craft it in the fabricator? The upgrade is found in modification station. Maybe try to go into creative and try to craft it or give it to you using commands. Failing all of this, is the mod properly installed and loaded?
