1. adjust the fuel /air screw under the carb, it is a flathead screw. start with screwing it down all the way and then unscrew it 3 complete turns outwards. 2. adjust the choke throttle cable. there is a small plastic know on the left side that adjusts this . check amnual for factory specs.

2002 Eiger 400 carb problems. i picked up this quad that hadn't been run in 3 yrs. The oil had gas in it. the air cleaner element had gas in it - although mostly varnish after 3 yrs. 2004 Eiger 400 backfires. Just got it with only 500 miles.:laugh: $1400 so I think I did good. You have to choke it to start it. Does run OK after warmup but will backfire after hard use. Going to change oil, oil filter, air filter right away. But it sat a lot of its life.
