Others have managed to just remove the shield with a pair of tweezers to pry the bottom open slightly. Either way, you can totally play with your amiibo and have them in the box, too. 2.Apparently you can now scan your new Smash-Amiibos without taking them out of the box - the protective foil is missing from the bottom of the box - this is huge for NiB-Collectors!
