yes it has worked since. The trick is to pull the fuse so no new power to radio head unit. then the act of inserting the cd used up power in capacitors and "reset it". then put fuse back in. If this does not work for you, pull fuse again, put in/out cd and keep fuse out for my guess hours to drain radio more.
