I currently indicate slightly above 1/2 tank remaining. I drive an 80 mile round trip 2 to 3 days a week. The rest is local driving most/all of which is in range of a full charge.

I'm surprised some states are still using them. In Oklahoma, ours is called a PikePass and is nothing more than a thin decal, but still must be mounted near the center of the windshield.
