I bought a 36 after trying a 30. I wanted a compact .45,shot them both & the 36 felt better & I shot it better. Not long after a friend of mine @ work bought a 30sf. The 30sf definately felt better in my hand than did the 30, & had the shop had a 30sf when I bought the 36 I probably would have gone with the SF in favor of the larger ammo capacity.That huge mag plate on my G30SF was giving me fits when it comes to carrying it.

My son picked up a G30SF a couple weeks ago so after shooting and cleaning them up today I took some shots. The pictures tell the tale more than holding the 2, and frankly the grip IMHO makes very little difference. My G30's have standard sights, Colt got night sights. They shoot identical, GREAT!
