Ram 2500 stuck in 4th gear.

A few issues over the last 20 months of my new to me first time Ram. So far happy. Last night my wife called me underground at work ND said that she had picked the kids up at school and the truck stuck in reverse. The only way to correct it is to pull over and turn truck off for 5-10 minutes and then restart it. Then irritable when the temp comes up to 0 (32F) the following week, and grumpy when the snow is deep.
