The addition of the scaling feature helps as games that do not run well on Deck can be toned down. The current "meta game" for great performance is either 0.50x or 0.75x render scale docked + FSR. Ryujinx is quite as robust so if a game does not run well, you are out of luck. I would actually have both installed.

I have CryoUtilities installed and use the recommended settings AND PowerTools. I've tried everything, clearing my shader cache, installing mods. It runs significantly better than totk at least. I finished it on yuzu on my deck and it wasn't too bad. A lot of work was put into polishing botw in anticipation of totk. Now for some reason totk on yuzu doesn't seem to get much work put into it? The most common cause of poor framerates in Yuzu on Deck is not using Vulkan. You can fix that by going into Yuzu and clicking where it says OpenGL at the bottom. It should change to say Vulkan. If it's already on Vulkan, then you could try disabling in-game shader caching in the game settings, or lowering the render resolution and using FSR.Low performance on steam deck .
