Help. Ac making knocking noise I have a similar problem. I just bought a 2007 impala lt with the 3.5 L v6. There is no problem with the ac when its on but when I turn it off it makes a knocking noise from the passanger side for about 30 sec then stops. It ony does it after turning off the ac or vehicle.Three of them are the same - one on each side, over the hump, and one behind the glove box on the right. The first two control the driver and passenger side blend doors, respectively. The one behind the glove box controls the recirc mechanism.
