Kawasaki prairie 400 problems.
2005 kfx 400 wont idle. 05 kfx400 will not idle. i have tried everything that i can think of. carb has been rebuilt, checked the ohms on the throttle position sensor and was in spec. dont know where to go next. is there a way to test the pcm, besides going to the dealer. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Jan 4, 2019 · I have a 98 Prairie 400 that had a strange thing happen. Had been running fine, went to start it, got a brief flash of the panel lights then nothing. Checked main fuse, and the holder seemed like it wasn't holding the fuse properly, so I fixed that. Still no joy. Replaced main relay, still no joy. The reverse chains can be a huge pain on the 97 Kawasaki Prairie 400. I have a 2001 Prairie 400 that has some kind of an electrical problem. I put in a new battery and when I turn it on I don't get any indication that there is any life in the ATV. Yes, I have it in neutral and the key is in the on position and the run switch is on.
Turn off the fuel at the tank and remove the screw from the center of the petcock handle. Remove all of the phillips screws and the two 6mm (10mm head) bolts at the back of the tank holding the tank cover on. Take the gas cap up and remove the tank cover.

Oct 17, 2009 · Find a multi-meter. Check to make sure that your battery has 12V~ at the terminals. The solenoid is located between the airbox and battery underneath the seat. It has two large wires (one coming directly from the battery) and two small wires connected to it. The large wire connected directly to the battery should have 12V~ all the time.
