So, because you are playing the Azata path, there is a time limit -- if, and only if, you want to see the slightly different "Azata assult on the Midnight Fane" instead of the assault that is available to all the other paths. If you are content with the normal assault, then there is no time limit.

After the first fight, you need to veer left, fight some more, see Minagho run away, and after a couple of fights, find a portal. The portal leads to another part of the dungeon (technically in the Abyss) which is linear. One was a tall human in the round room with the Baphomet statue, one is the succubus boss in the "bedroom" with the pool, and the third I forgot (wasn't remarkable). #1.
