I've used Instacart for years with no issues, but today this exact scam happened to me, and I won't be using it again. The shopper picked out our items suspiciously quickly, and added 10x quantities to expensive items, adding on over $100 to the order. In the chat, he said his app glitched but he spoke to customer service and it was all good.

Stay away from traffic. Talk to the customer, and take pictures. Even if they dont respond, getting used to sending pics and offering replacements is good practice.
