IMHO, when you're first figuring this out, do five squares with EXCESSIVE values. Do 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%, 100%, 105%. Have prints of obvious under- and over-extrusion, so that you can see what you're dealing with. A side effect of this is to help you see if you're tweaking the right settings in your slicer.
