An important point of Earth impulses that I think the OP miss in the analysis is that with Armor in Earth with an heavy-armor AC and and due the relative lower distance of earth impulses its a good option to builds that dumps Dex to boost Str and combined with Weapon Infusion this allows to get some close ranged (reach or throw) earth blasts boosted by Str bonus.

We're finally going over the latest Pathfinder 2e class in full detail! What exactly is a kineticist, how do you set one up, and what potential do they have?...There's some things pre-set because existing character being ported across, but mostly I'm looking for advise on n00b traps and pitfalls to avoid, and things that are more useful than they seem, since this will be my first time playing 2e (plenty of experience with 3.0/5/pf1e) and expect to get tripped up by system differences.
