The dealer told me that Honda sent them new page inserts to change all of the vtx1300's to read 10W-30. Said there were so many manuals envolved, it seemed to take forever. The rear end is designed that way, You will break the plug long before you damage the threads on the rear final drive. The plug is $6.00 to$7.00 and the O-ring is about $2.50.
