I typically use them on planets to track Trade posts and things of that type. Essentially if you just want to track the locations you have been so you dont return then this item will work perfectly.the settlement will slowly enable you to remove negatives, and population builds slowly, but your planet choice is permanent, unless you abandon your settlement and start over elsewhere. I've found 16 so far (all C and B class). All have had 4 penalties and 1 bonus.You will then need to present Atlantideum to a portal.
