Chevy cruze coolant reservoir fill line.
The coolant reservoir looked to be down about 1" from the fill line. I am guessing the coolant i put in yesterday to fill the reservoir (~1 qt) was consumed by the radiator which had been running low. I cannot imagine i could loose that much coolant with no highly visible coolant finger prints in less than 24 hours and 75 miles. The smoking gun?
Coolant Leak - Bottom left of radiator area. I have replaced the lower radiator hose that connects at the lower portion (passenger side) of the radiator to the thermostat housing. We replaced the thermostat housing as well. I STILL have a leak! When I looked at my cap it seemed that the seal is created by an o-ring around the "shaft" of the cap that seals against the inside of the coolant tank neck. Any air pockets in the cooling system that cause the coolant to boil, raise the pressure even further stressing the plastic components.
