Just received a new MEC 600 Jr 410 loader this week. I wanted the 2 1/2" version and specified it. The unit came in with all the stuff to change over to 3" but only one charge bar - 1/2 Oz. Winchester recommends that the wad pressure be increased to up to 45 lbs. This is to insure that the wad pushes past the powder cup. I looked this up. Yep, it's on Page 4 of the Winchester load guide.
