However it seems to get stuck at some point. I've searched and found info back in 2022 saying that algae spawning is a bit weird. Essentially they algae won't respawn until every last node is picked, but some eventually spawn outside of the auto-crafter range so it can't get those and no new ones ever come back.

The auto crafter uses these objects to craft, rather than waiting until they can be harvested. The farm also must be able to detect when they are used, and creates more when needed.
