I'm not too worried about the $1600 CAD price difference, I'm worried about which is the more reliable vehicle. To highlight some of the differences: -A slight bit more horsepower in the Hybrid compared to the standard gas Rav4. -slightly quieter engine.In my experience Toyotas have the body fall apart before the engine. If a new hybrid rav4 is $35k and lasts 200k+ miles, 5k for that car is ok if you need a car today and have a backup car, because all the surprise mechanical issues will emerges towards the end of a cars life. The 22 Crosstrek has no changes from 21, and the 22 RAV4 has only minor changes from 21. I have driven the 21 RAV4 and there was nothing exciting about it. I find Subaru's Eyesight system better than the TSS in some regards, but the Forester doesn't have lane centering like the RAV4. It's really a personal preference thing between these two for me. On the other hand, the CR-V is quieter, has better interior, lane centering, audio system, driving feel, mechanical AWD, and has much more space inside.
