Dune by Frank Herbert is probably my favorite sci-fi book. Red Rising by Pierce Brown is my favorite sci-fi series. The Red Rising series is great. So many unexpected events. A bit like GOT in that way. I feel like it would make an incredible TV show. It would also need an absurdly high budget though.
The first chapter of Jack London's White Fang was the best short story I've ever read. Most of Bukowski's short stories are great. The Wall, Jean Paul Sartre. The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty - Probably the book that has come the closest to genuinely scaring me. The Shining and Salems Lot by Stephen King - my two favorites of his. The Shining is a great haunted house story and a great descent into madness which are my two favorite horror genres, fascinating story that never gets old.

The standard starting point is Aurelius' Meditations, Seneca's Letters, and Epictetus' Discourses, in no particular order (but it is best to read all three at some point). After that, if you want to dig in deeper I'd also recommend (again in no particular order): Seneca's essays. Lawrence Becker's A New Stoicism.
