People always have this problem every wipe and people never seem to really put their brain cells together to figure out why. Scav games rely on games that PMC's have made. If no one is making games on their PMC's no Scav has a game to join. Scavs directly need PMC's to start the game for them. They cannot join a game that has only Scavs.
I run opposite of all gunfire.I avoid buildings of any type. I don't loot. I don't stay for a while after shooting scavs. Most of the time I die is when I move towards extraction. I'm run out of shit to use. I can essentially only do scav runs because I start with 100x as good of gear.The other way to learn the maps in Escape from Tarkov is a Scav raid. So for starters, using your Scav raid as a way to learn the maps is very useful. You only have to worry about enemy PMC's and the occasional other player scav; all the other A.I. Scavs are friendly. They provide a fleshy shield to hide behind in a firefight.Scavs earn scav xp not pmc xp. To level your pmc you have to do pmc runs. You don't get PMC XP from Scav runs. Scav runs I stick with Customs 99% of the time. Lots of staches to go through after pmcs are gone. Generally can pull 500k scav runs pretty regular for a standard run. They say reserve and lighthouse is really good and for foods interchange is wonderful
If you don't know how to tell pscavs apart from PMCs -- look at the sleeves. Scavs typically wear blue, or red and white. PMCs are in camo, either artic, urban, or forest (with some exceptions). Don't rely on the backpack -- they could loot a PMC or spawn with a pilgrim. Part 3: Handshake.

Black screen after extracting as a scav. Issue. Extracted on interchange after killing a PMC. Timer went down to 0 and after that only black screen. You can still hear the ingame sound. Had to wait 5+ minutes in black screen before got me back to raid summary. Just a heads up to anyone with a similar problem, make sure to stay in black screen.
