Sims 3 seems to open faster running it from the game's .exe instead of the Sims 3 launcher exe. Specially if you do have a lot of store content installed via the launcher. –Check the Install Path: Open the game with the game -not- the launcher, if possible. The sims 4 and sims 3 are both slow and laggy on my computer, sometimes I feel sims 3 works better. I did not grow up playing the sims.
