Cvt whining noise.

Hi all, My Ascent's CVT whines at all times - no matter if hot or cold - and pretty much at all RPMs (more noticeable above 2k) until road & wind noise drowns it out. I asked Subaru and they said this is completely normal and that it's the pump. Would appreciate any feedback, because it's driving me bonkers lol.Jul 21, 2023 ... Well, I just changed out the CVT fluid with 3 qts of Honda CVT (dang that stuff is $$$) and the problem is still there. It doesn't whine in Park or reverse only in drive. Through browsing several previous posts about CVT whine and the likes, I have taken the first steps. 1) Changed the Front and Rear Differential Fluid (I used Synthetic Gear Oil) 2) Drain and Fill the CVT Fluid. (appx 5 quarts came out, and I put appx 5 quarts of CVT fluid back in) These steps had no impact on the sound.
