Going from a 20 to an 18-20 crit profile is considered to be an incredibly high damage increase. Reducing your 'grazing profile' from 2-5 down to 2-3 is going to be a similar damage increase, though not quite as high. I use strimtom's dragonborn celestial warlock, and having a great time in low reapers in sharn and RL. Zero AP in racial tree. Magister gives decent enough DC on hold monster (even without spell focus!), and if you go draconic you'll have so many active abilities (energy burst etc) you won't need another breath weapon or SLA.
