Estoc dark souls.

I want the community opinion on which one of these weapons was the least balanced. Estoc has R1 spam for staggering anybody anytime and Warden Twinblade has R1 once, if it connects, Weaponart and win. I've used both, the estoc was pretty rad because it's range is ridiculous, it's speed is ridiculous and it's damage is ridiculous.

Estoc has the reach, poise damage and variety of attacks (including shield bypass), but the Ropera has better damage, weight and counter bonus. Plus can parry one-handed. And the worst part is that they both look sooo nice. Normally that would be the deciding factor but its no help here ;) 1.

Estoc doesn't scale that great, so Lightning is always nice. Chaos (at max) will probably outclass that, but fire damage seems less useful in PVP to me. Pike. PSN & GT: alainvey. shadowsofdawn 12 years ago #3. Spear = heavier, greater range. Estoc = lighter, shorter, comparable damage, higher backstab/riposte damage. Decide what is more important to you: the ability to safely poke your opponent outside of their range, or higher critical damage. Estoc has B scaling in Str at +10 solidly making it a Str weapon. If you want to do pure-physical damage then you want 40 str and 12ish dex. However, it also infuses pretty well. So it depends on if you want to go pure Str or only enough to use your weapons and infuse. 40 Str and 12 dex you are looking at 308 Physical. Rapier is only better for critfishing and if you're doing pve you might as well critfish with dagger. rapier-can parry and weights less, but has shorter range and bounces off shields and people with perseverance. estoc-better range, better damage, doesnt bounce off. It depends on ehat kind of weapons you like + build. But in general you want low weight and low requirements. Claymore, Zwie, Estoc, and Garg Halberd are all good. Would also recommend Falchion, Battle Axe or Mace for guard break if you need that for some reason. Also what ProudLeaf said. The mage is primarily designed as a DPS build so in order to defeat certain bosses you may have to swallow your pride and summon NPC phantoms to help tank some of the boss's aggro. As always, please...I prefer the Estoc's longer range over the Rapier's extra damage (Estoc also looks cooler). The long reach also helps when I feel like attacking from behind a shield at a safer distance. I do use the Rapier off-hand so I'm forced to learn how to parry/ dodge faster, so I may switch over to Rapier again. But for now, I like Estoc the best.

Ricard's is the kind of balanced one if it takes a semblance of skill to use. All the rapiers are op. Estoc simply the best of them. In a weapon tier list you would have to go down 5 places to find a weapon that isn't a rapier. I feel the same as you.
