On the 1500, the service manul says a special tool is need to pull the spark plug tubes, but you can fashion a tool out of the rear axle nut and unscrew the tube. I'd bet the 800 is similar. When pushing the start button, the starter motor engages as it should. 3. 3 out of 4 times (approx) the engine doesnt fire. Not so much as a fart or misfire. 4. Start the bike and measure the voltage on across the same white wires and it should be 54V or more (250v scale).

I've been having trouble getting the carburetor dialed in on my Vulcan 800. At this point, I'm not sure if my thoughts were correct, or if something else is causing the problem.
