The Raptor barrel in the Stainless II slide with the same mag chambered just fine by racking the slide. I’d never fire it like this but manually working the slide it operated. This was the result I expected.

The Kimber TLE has a barrel with integral ramp. I forgot to add to my original post that the case is fully supported. Both these were selling points for me. Their lack of mass and higher center of gravity creates a lot of upward force when shooting.For whatever reason, after 100 rounds, the problem went away. Have since put 3 other types of ammo through it and I can’t get it to FTF. Kimber Custom II 10mm. I've been reading about a few issues facing the new Kimber custom II. Unfortunately the brand new Kimber I have seems to check all the boxes. In addition to feeding problems, thumb safety weakness, and the general feel of being cheaply produced, I was only roughly 70 rounds in when my plunger tube decided to fall off the gun.I have a Kimber SS Target 10mm. Playing with the 10mm is facinating. Accuracy in Kimber 5'' is great. Looking at BY THE INCH we can gain +100 fps with some ammo. That is worth persuing for hunting and/or long range shooting. The longer sight radius can make it easier to shoot more accurately. I much preferred the Kimber in 10MM, with the ramped barrel and very well supported chamber, over the Delta. Still think the Eclipse was one of the best looking 1911 type guns I ever had.
