The ammo that worked best in my Mark III is round nose copper plated high velocity bullets. In particular, round nose CCI Mini-Mags and round nose Winchester Super X. Avoid Remington Golden bullets like the plague. Re: Ruger MK III Hunter I had a Mk III target. One of my favorite all time pistols. As for reliability problems, 22 pistols are always a little more prone to malfunction because of the commonly used waxed coated boolits which cause heavy fouling on the feed-ramp. If you run plated/jacketed rounds, the pistol will be far more reliable.
