The last major ban wave that comes to mind was around Rhyhorn community day... A friend of mine had just downloaded ipogo and had only used it roughly a few days before Rhyhorn day and on the community day...wasn't long after was when the wave hit and my friend was down for 7 days...I want to say the modified app was what triggered the wave as it was easily detected by Niantic by their system ...
PGSharp is what got you not your activity. Sharp is a ban magnet. I got 7 day 1 year ago and 30 day 1 month ago , both because i ve spoofed both cities of pogo fest. in game actions do not flag you, pgsharp and modded pogo apps will. immediately after using them. I spoofed during events and I haven't been banned yet.They wait anywhere from a few days to several weeks or even months apart to announce the ban wave. For the last 6 months, people who used emulators have stopped posting about their strikes. The last major ban wave in 2019 was 90% iOS and 10% Android emulators. The banwave in 2018 was 99% iOS and maybe 1% Android emulators.
