Thanks so much. Yes what state do you live in, a lot of the laws and regulations when it comes to tip pools comes down to state laws. The owner is the only one who manages the tip pool and no one has a breakdown of how it works. Anyone who has asked has gotten fired or forced to quit shortly thereafter.My current place is just 4 training shifts, no tips. I was a bit salty when I bartended, did equal work, was not actually being trained because I knew what I was doing already, and didn’t even get a courtesy tip out after our bar made over $700 in tips for the shift. It was just me and one other bartender.So about $23/hour net total comp. My schedule looks like this a fair number of weeks: Monday 5-10:30, Tuesday and Wednesday 12-3 and 5-9:30, Thursday 5-10:30, Friday 11:30-3 and 5-10 Saturday 4-10 Sunday 4-9. I get a paycheck for like $1700 every other week from the weekday job and like $200 in cash tips once per week. On top you get NO BREAKS; although you can get free food if you ask for it between the hours of 8a-9a and 1p-2p Monday to Friday. Saturday is tough and Sundays you don't get food. Never danced, there are a lot of misconceptions about bartending/waitressing in a strip club. Only one waitress ever “crossed the line” in the time I was there. The money is amazing. The girls can be really crappy though, a few resented me for making as much or more without taking my clothes off.Just remember to not take slow season personally. You can be the best server in the world and only get 10% during slow season. Keep in mind the recession right now is adding flame to the fire. Be smart with your money and have a side gig in case you get scheduled less. Idk if there’s anything you can do to totally avoid body aches, but proper hydration & good shoes helped. Full body work out- the repetitiveness of bartending will overuse certain muscle grounds and underuse others creating compounding compensation issues. Stay on top of this.

The difficult part is that there is a great deal of side work, and you'll typically have at least 20 tables a shift (not just 2 tops either). If you do well, you'll get opening and closing shifts which will keep you long hours. The restaurant opens at 10/11 and closes at 11/12. It takes a great deal of stamina.
